I was wondering if 144hz is harder to run than 60hz becuz im buying a new monitor and i want the best experience i can get. I also play csgo a lot if that matters.

Yes, 144hz requires much more gpu horsepower than the standard 60 hz. With csgo, you should be able run the game at 144hz since the game is not all that demanding.
