R9 380 4gb on diablo 3

I got i5 4460 and r9 380 4gb sapphire brand. My fps in 4 man grps sometimes gets below 25 fps. All settings on high shadows off. Is this normal ? Any 1 else experiencing same issues or shall i try to return my gpu because its not performing as it should.

Agreed. You should be well over 100 frames with a 380 even in ultra settings. I recommend using something like msi afterburner to determine what the issue is.

how can i determine what the problem is? I did 3dmark test results seems okay, they are not the best but there are others who took same results as I did. I did run furmark for 10 mins, no errors max temp was 75 celcius that seems okay aswell. What shall i check with MSI afterburner?

you turn on temp monitoring for the cpu and gpu in the OSD, then run the game


post back with max temps for both after playing the game for a while

here is link to OSD seems like my gpu useage going up and down while i am playing and that may cause this fps drops. is it normal?

I also increased power option from AMD CCC to +20 nothing changed, still dropping down to 15 fps sometimes on d3

cant see anything, did you turn on cpu temp monitoring as well?


sounds like cpu throttling
