Hi All,

First of all I'm a total noob and this is my first attempt to build my own PC. I've been doing a lot of research but I don't think that's going to be enough.

I really, really want the R9 380 because I think it's worth the money and I don't think I would need to upgrade it in the near future(please correct me if this is wrong). My problem is, I can get an i5 4460/4590/4690 but I will have to sacrifice a few other things which I really want to get as well(example is a mechanical keyboard). So, I'm thinking of getting an i3 4160/4170 or fx 6300/8320e or athlon x4 860k. I want the i3's but I'm worried that it might not be enough for the R9 380.

Can you masters help me with this? Which one should I go with? This build is purely for gaming.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks sir!

Is it true though that even though 4170 is a dual core, it has 2 extra logical cores which makes it a psuedo-quad core? Meaning, I won't have any problems running games that works only on quad cores?
