Hello Community,

I just build a Video Editing – Gaming Rig and I have some doubts about it.
Intel Core i5 4590 3.30 GHz 205.3 EYR
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8GB 1600Mhz 60.68 EYR
ATI Radeon R9 380 Nitro 4GB (Sapphire) 252.17 EYR
Gigabyte H97 D3H 102 EYR
XFX XTR 650W 115.63 EYR
CM HYPER 212 EVO 34 EYR
SAMSUNG SSD 850 PRO 256GB 155.9 EYR
CM 690 III 99.99 EYR
In the prices 23% tax is included.

Total Cost: 1025.67 EYR [w/ out taxes 789.77 EUR]

I recently saw a post that was compering R9 380 Crossfire with other similar priced cards. When it comes to Gaming, the results were outstanding, only the Titan X was some FPS ahead! Also, the total system power consumption stayed under 300 Watts. I was wondering if had got my hands to an Intel Xeon E3 1241 v3 or at least with the CPU I am currently using would it be worth it to buy that 2nd R9 380 Nitro 4GB in the near future to keep up with the latest and greatest games or at least push higher refresh rate or bigger resolutions when I upgrade my old monitor.

Solution
To make this short no.
You would be better off selling your card and buying a single better card, your processor is fine but with that motherboard you would be running X fire in a 8X4 mode not 8X8.
