I have r9 380 and when I play games it doesn't reach stock max boost speed 990mhz when leaving tdp at default. When I up it by 20% it is almost always at 990 mhz. My PSU is 650 watt gigabyte greenmax plus. Is this normal? When tdp at +0 it usually fluctuates from 930 to 970 mhz. I find it strange that my gpu can't maintain full boost speed (stock, no overclock) at default tdp settings. Thanks for help in advance! Oh and also a strange thing happend. I was running valley benchmark and after a few minutes the screen froze (but I had alot of programs open and was downloading 3d mark in firefox), that was at +20% tdp, then I restarted and only open valley benchmark and I ran it for 20 mins with no problems.
