R9 380 Power requirements

Just bought a R9 380 and wasnt paying nearly enough attention to the sort of cables it requires. It requires 8pin and I unfortunately only have 2 6pin.

Id rather not replace the PSU, but if need be I will. Current PSU is a Targon 900w TG900-U95.

Are the 6 to 8 pin adaptors a bad idea? Or is the 2 molex to 8pin a better idea?

I would not recommend messing with adaptors and molex's etc. The power supply isn't built to supply the power of an 8 pin so I wouldn't do that.
I'd recommend getting a new PSU.

I agree with jy0yt. That PSU is junk and will not properly power the R9 380. Its not a true 900w.

Get a good 650w PSU from a good name brand and you will be fine. XFX, Seasonic or EVGA.
