I currently have the Gigabyte R9 380 4gb and i just ordered the Asus 960 gtx 2gb mini. I know the gigabyte has more vram, but i will only be playing at 1080p. did i make a huge mistake? I can also pick up a EVGA 960 sc 4gb for about the same price as the Asus.

I think that's much better than the 2 GB card. Keep in mind that the 960 has limited memory bandwidth and will start to see significant performance loss about 1080p. The 380 you linked earlier is a better choice if you plan on gaming in 2k or 4k now or in the future.

That's kind of an improper interjection isn't it? You start your sentence like it's going to be enough to rebut his points but... folding? That really won't tip any scales when it comes to purchasing a graphics card.

I've tried searching for the "frying" issue but cannot seem to find it under any synonym of the word either. For most people, AMD's new Crimson drivers have take a pretty solid driver setup and made it even better.

It does for me (and others). As for the frying of cards I guess you didn't look hard enough. 😉

Just found that frying issue on another thread. It does happen but it's rather small scale. I would recommend that anyone who updates to crimson check their fan speed during gaming just in case.

Disable hardware acceleration in my browser still the same temp. :/
