So I have a sapphire r9 380 4gb i5 2500k 8 gbs of ram I can't remember the mother board however I recently did a fresh install for windows 8.1 it's an outdated desktop, whenever I try to install the software for the GPU it installs on the amd installer but I get a message for partial install of package and every game I play says outdated drivers I was wondering what I can do to correctly install drivers when a hdmi is installed to the GPU to monitor I get a signal and can access windows.

Some games require later drivers than what is available for your graphics card, and version of Windows. You can try the Nimez drivers, which sometimes helps to get a newer driver version installed, but if it doesn't, your only choice is to get a video card that is still in driver support. You may also have to upgrade to Windows 10.

^^ Try downloading the latest driver for windows 10 in the link above and follow this video for instructions on how to install them on windows 8.1. AMD decided to drop support for 8.1 a few years ago so it requires a roundabout way to get newer drivers.

Custom drivers might be the only option if newer games still don't work after that.
I did a complete uninstall of the drivers I had and tried the windows 10 with no luck, then I un-installed that and followed the windows 7 drivers and it works amazing now thank you so much!!!!!!!!
