So I've been doing some research trying to find the best gpu within my budget (~$200) and wanted to get some opinions on the different models of these cards

General consensus tells me that the 380x is better than 960, but I see that there is an EVGA SuperSC 960 and was wondering if that was better or not

Also, I know the 290 is superior to the 380x, but, and correct me if I'm wrong, it doesn't support the newest directx. So my question is would that really have much of an effect and make the 380x worth buying? Is there a certain maker of amd cards that's generally better?

Hopefully someone much more versed in these things can enlighten me. Thank you in advance

Solution
The 290 does a little bit better than the 380x, but it isn't DX12 compatible. I would recommend getting the Sapphire R9 380x 4GB. The SuperSC 960 isn't worth it.
Thank you for the response. I'm not buying one quite yet so do you think it would be worth it to drop the extra money on a 970 or 390? I really only plan on playing 1080p for the foreseeable future
