Hello everybody,

I had a small question, I might want to buy a R9 390 but it says you need a 750 watt PSU. Only problem, I have a 650 watt PSU. Do I need to upgrade my PSU or is it fine like this? My system also has a Intel I7-4770S, 4 fans, HDD and SSD. Also Note that the site says the GPU will use 275 watt at max.

Hope to hear from you guys,
Sten.

#EDIT: Also note im not planning on overclocking the GPU.

R9 390 has a TDP of 275 watts, period.
65 watts for your processor around 80 or less for everything else in the PC.
That puts you in the 425 Watt area during a Full system stress test.
If you have a decent power supply that can actually deliver 650 Watts your fine if you have a overrated 650 watt power supply that can only put out 500 watts your not.
It usually helps to list the power supply with PSU questions.

Not the best quality power supply but they are worse.
552 Watts on the 12 volt rail If that's what I had in my PC I would install a R9 390 and not be worried about it.
That would put you in the 75% range during a full system stress test and in the 65% range under normal use like gaming.
