r9 390 overdrive overclocking help

what percentage is a good start to raise and what would be too much.. never overclocked a gpu and can't find any answers on google

Just over clock by 5 or 10mhz at a time and run a graphics stress program between to check for temperature and artifacting.

Well catalyst 15.7 does it by percentage it won't show mhz.. and if I raise the overclock on the gpu do I raise the same amount on the memory ?
