R9 390 performance concerns

I recently purchased an msi r9 390 and have found that it's not performing as well as other people's cards.

My system is consistently achieving lower bench mark scores in Valley and firestrike and lower fps in a lot of games than similar cards at stock speeds.

I have run msi afterburner and monitored CPU and ram usage in game and these don't appear to be a bottleneck.( I have an i5 4460 and a single stick of g skill rip jaws 8gb)

The only other things I can think might be causing this is old drivers interfering or a bad card itself.

If anyone could help me correctly uninstall all old drivers or offer any other help or ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

It's possible. The 4460 is well matched with a R9 390, however there are certain games that aren't very well optimized and require a lot of CPU power, this is where it may be a limiting factor.

When you say your card is not performing as well as other people's cards, where are you finding this information and were they using the same settings as you? Personally, I think a lot of people "cheat" when it comes to what performance they claim to be getting. What score do you get in Valley on "extreme HD" pre-set?
