R9 390 problem

Last night I was playing fallout 4 and then my scrren went black and my pc was still on. My gpu is a r9 390 cpu is an amd fx 8300 eight core. Psu is 620 watts. Is it my gpu that's over heating?

no I wasn't playing music during the time it just went black and sorry for voting down ur answer I'm new to this
