r9 390 strix bottleneck?

So i wna t get a r9 390 strixs but i am really scrared to get it because my system currently runs on a first generation intel core i7 950 and the r9 390 would run on pcie 2.0 instead of 3.0 so is my system going to stuff up my gaming fps? currently i am running a 960 and i feel that it is not powerful enough for witcher and other games

There will be bottleneck but it should fine if you can OC your CPU. PCI-E 2.0 will not going to limit any PCI-E 3.0 based card availabel today. Just make sure your power supply is strong enough for 390.
