R9 390 to GTX 980 -- A noticeable difference?

Hi guys, I currently own a gigabyte r9 390 and it's working very well, but I am just wondering if upgrading to a gtx 980 will get me any noticeable difference. Before you plan to spam me with "980 Ti is better" comments, I don't really think the 980 Ti is worth it's price so I would opt for an 980 instead.

Oh and my rig specs is as follows:
i7 4790K
Asrock Z87M Extreme 4
R9 390 Gigabyte G1
Seasonic X750
Cooltek C3

marginally better, yes. financially doesn't worth it though. If you feel the need to upgrade I would suggest hanging on to your 390 until the pascal (or AMD equivalent) cards release. Shouldn't be more than 4-5 months tops Then it would be a lot more sensible to upgrade.

Thnx for the info! It's more of a discussion as I don't REALLY REALLY want to upgrade. I just wanted to ask if it's a good idea.
