If you're going to be using a display with a resolution higher than 1920x1080 in the future then get the R9 390.

I have no idea what display panel you'll be using in the future.

Won't games in 2016 require higher vram? Just making sure.

No it will not, when they get to the detail point in the games that you will need more for 1080P then those cards will be obsolete.
