So after looking at some GPUs, just incase the new polaris or pascal, seems to be a let down, or is too much for me.

I came across the R9 390X, this was a new card for me as I was just focussing on the 980ti. So then i found out that a R9 can be somewhat very powerful in crossfire mode.

So what I'd really like to know is, IF the new GPUs don't seem worth it, which they probably will, should I go with the 980ti (non SLI) or the R9 in crossfire. Im looking over everything, such as temperatures, watts and obviously which is better for running 1080, 1440 and 4k and which seems too get the best FPS overall for each resolution.

If there is another card or SLI which averages around £500 -£600 then please let me know.

-Thanks for any help provided

980ti in games actually beats the titanX in more than a few tests so thats not entirely true statement. Also 970's in sli outperform a titanX so again making the titan X kinda waste of money. 980ti's in the US only cost $650 so 2 of those for the cost basically of a titanX and the 980ti's would beat the shit out of a titanX. The 980ti is the fastest single gpu card on the market period. So 2 of those obviously would beat anything you throw at it in the same sli config.

And if I was able to get a SLI 980ti, should I go for that?
