R9 390X worth buying?

Hello, i hope someone can recommend me something

My pc specs are
Ryzen 1300X
GTX 1050 (not ti)
16Gb 3000Mhz Corsair
600W Sharkoon Psu
Mobo Asus, with that i cannot overclock the ryzen


I’ve got an offer of a friend for his R9 390x, he would want 100€ and my gtx 1050 for rendering videos.

I’m thinking about upgrading my mobo/ maybe also later my cpu, after i can’t get more out of it through oc.

Would you recommend buying it? The positive is, i would also get rid of the 1050, i don’t think that would be so easy on ebay, and i also don’t know, for how much i could offer it there.

Which model? If its one with a decent cooler I would take the deal, its going to be substantially faster than your current card.
However, your PSU may struggle under the load.

I own an R9 390x. As long as it has a good cooling setup it's more than double the card you have now.

I’ve just asked, its an XfX R9 390x,

I have also an other question, I’ve bought from a friend 16gb of Ram Corsaid 3000Mhz, it gave me blue screens.
I sent it to Corsair for Rma, they replaced it with a new, sealed.
Some days after that, i received from taiwan an parcel, with sealed 16gb corsair 3000mhz ram. Would you recommend building it into my pc after upgrading my motherboard? It has only 2 slots for ram

The pic is an example, thats bf1 on i think medium or high.. i don’t remeber, its streamed with moonlight onto my notebook from the ryzen pc

If you are already running 16gb of dual Channel Ram I would leave it as is and sell the extra Ram you have. I have a faster CPU than you do but with a mix of medium to high settings at 1080 resolution, I get anywhere from the high 90s to 120 FPS with the R9 390x

XFX has a custom cooling fan so you should be good to go.
