Is it possible to hack a standard R9000 to the specs of the R9000PRO besides just overclocking it to 275/275? Im unclear about the other differences in the cards, so I was wondering of if the R9000 is merely a toned down R9000PRO of if the architecture is significantly different.

i think the architecture is identical, just clocked slower (poss slower ram as well)

is it summer already ??? oh, its just the heat haze coming off my PC...

It is possible. The way is to hack the card bios. I have tried and the only snag I ran into was the bios refusing to upload because the proggy see`s the 9000 and wont let it upload the 9000PRO bios. If someone could override that I am fairly sure it could be done. I nearly got it working. I managed to overclock the clock speed of the card by hacking the non pro bios and uploading that but the drivers started seeing it as a 9000pro and refused to work with the bios on it. If you had the pro bios on the card it should fix that problem. If you get it working please let me know.
