R9800 + Halo=Awesome!

I just installed a R9800NP in my system, and damn, does Halo look awesome! I mean, it looked good on my R8500, but now with the R9800, wow!

I've never seen anything like it. Amazing.

Can't wait for Doom3 and HL2.

All i need now is a cpu that can keep up!

I upgraded from 9500pro to 9800pro the performance increase was decent however the image quality wasn't noticable.

-Intel PIV 2.6C @ 3.51G -Asus P4P800 -OCZ Copper 2x256 4000EL memory @ 270mhz 2.5-4-4-8 -Sapphire 9800pro @ 490/780 -SB audigy -120G Maxtor Diamond Plus9 S-ATA150 hdd -450 Enermax PSU

Well, I have a 435W PSU, so it should handle it, LOL.

Yeah, I don't think the image quality will be any better once you hit 9500 on up, but performance is.

well ATI has been renown for some time to have excellent image quality... especially the radeon series of products.

So IQ cannot improve, as such.

However as you go from a 9500/9600 to a 9800 you get alot more performance, so you can actually <b>USE</b> high levels of AA and Ansio realistically in games.
So in that respect IQ does improve.

I wouldn't dream of not using 4xAA now!

halo's graphic isn't very impressive, and coded really bad
can only play at 800x600 with xp3200+

Some Radeon 9500 128mb can be soft mod to Radeon 9700 pro or even 9800. Usually Sapphire Red PCB version or with L-shape memory. Here is the link about the review:
