What do you have to do to get rebates back from Soyo.
I got a motherboard back in Sept-04 with 2 rebates totaling $110.
I emailed them 2 times with no responce.

Thanks...Stephen

Try contacting the company that is in charge of the rebate program.
That would be a good place to start. But I bet you didn't think to copy
all of that information.

I made a copy of the rebate form.

Thanks...

You have to check to see if you are approved. www.verifyrebate.com
Then call and call and call if they have been approved.
Get names!!!
If they have not been approved then call and find out what you need to do!
Get names!!! ;-)

I finally got mine after about 6 months. Good product at a good price, but
bad rebate service leaves me not wanting to buy from them anymore. :-(

I bought a Soyo M/B, case and CPU from Tiger Direct two years ago and
the rebate (which was like $90) came in quickly. Last year, I went for
one of those Soyo cases (free after rebate - maybe $49) from Tiger and
that rebate is lost in space after six months. Didn't make a copy of
the paperwork neither. Now I copy everything, or better yet, just
ignore a lot of rebate offers.

Makes me glad I didn't buy that $99 Soyo MB that was free after rebate.

That is what I did. Soyo MB and after rebate $10.
Never again.
But they quit making MB's anyway. I can see why.

I did get that motherboard and sent in the required rebate docs in Apr 04 (the
deadline was May 28/04) and still I get no response from "rebate@soyousa.com" or
Customer Support email.

When I went to "verifyrebate.com" it blocked me from doing anything until they
got to doing rebates with deadlines in May04. After that when I try to register
the rebate online it won't accept it since they don't have an option for that
model motherboard and not an option for TigerDirect. It's been almost 10 months.
.. . who do I call? I've tried TigerDirect but no response either.
BS

Hi,

....
#NOW - If you have gone to www.VerifyRebate.com and it states that your
#rebate has been approved, if it should have been approve, or if it had
#been removed, please send an e-mail with all of your information, to
#soyo@verifyrebate.com (DO NOT SEND ANY ATTACHMENTS) and one of our

hehe. e-mail. Yeah. Tried that. Several times. All went unanswered.

Newegg.com got so many complaints about the Soyo rebate problem they
sent a CYA e-mail to their customers, offering some lame discounts (on
Soyo products, no less). In it they gave a phone number for
verifyrebate.com-

909-292-2528

Which, 99% of the time, will give you a voice mailbox where you can
leave a message which will go unanswered. Occasionally, if you are
*very* persistant, you can get a real human being at this number. This
(poor, beleaguered) being will tell you a.) the same thing that the web
site tells you when you do a lookup, and b.) if you do show up on the
website, that they will expedite the process for you and you'll get your
rebate in another 90 days.

If part a.) says they haven't processed your rebate yet, this (poor,
beleaguered) being will tell you to send an e-mail request to research
your missing rebate, which will go unanswered.

....
#Above all, please be patient. Customers have been getting a response
#back within 48 hours, and there checks within 7 days.

Lies, lies, no phone calls or reply e-mails or checks in over 7 days,
and the checks in 7 days doesn't even correspond to the 90 days quoted
over the phone.

Hey, let's all go there and make our problems known.

Ken.

Well you have to be persistent but nice. ;-)
I finally got mine after about 8 months and many calls. I was able to get a
human most of the times, but if I left a message they promptly returned my
call.
Several excuses were given, ranging from the check machine was broken, to it
is almost in the mail. Yeah right!
I just wanted my $120 in rebates, and I finally got them. <g>

Don't give up, keep calling them!!! You deserve YOUR REBATES!!!

I don't like the effort I had to go through with them and they have lost me
as a future customer. :-(

Bull_

I sent my copies of the 'lost' forms and other records several weeks ago. No
word yet.

I'd be willing to bet that I will never get a dime from Soyo.

I encourage all vendors like New Egg and others to DROP ALL SOYO products
immediately. There is no reason why a vendor should have their good reputation
dragged into the mud because of the shoddy business practices of ONE supplier.
There are many more suppliers to choose from. I have informed NewEgg that I will
not be purchasing anything from them again until they drop the Soyo product
line. Considering that I spend less than $2k a year with NewEgg I'm obviously a
small fry in the big picture but if MORE people would start boycotting these
vendors then maybe we can have some impact.

Write your vendors. Let them know you don't appreciate them handling suppliers
that participate in consumer rip-offs.

Get those letters and emails flowing! Forget Soyo_ they could care less. HIT the
vendors!

Well......... I just went to Soyo Rebates again to check my status. It
previously stated my rebate was approved on Oct. 28, 2004. It is now
gone and they claim to have no record of it. It gives the usual BS to
contact them. I think that I will call my local news channel. They have
a segment on consumer complaints that they investigate. I would like to
have this dishonest and fraudulent company called to the carpet. By the
way...... it is a national news channel. I will also call Tiger Direct
(place of purchase) and let them know how Soyo does not honor their
rebates or respond to emails concerning rebates. Anyone in California
that has the same problem should also contact their TV stations that do
consumer reports. Lets see if this will help. Another suggestion.......
call the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint with them. It is
no longer the monetary amount for me its about the fraud of it all.
