I am trying to play this game on triplehead 5760x1080 resolution, but the ratio is too wide or too zoomed in. I had it working before on CD on my other AMD setup.

But as I tried to install by CD on my new full tower Intel setup, I could not get it to even load. Had to rename workermap4 to workermap8. Then after trying 1 week to find a way to force a 21:3, 16:3 or 21:9 aspect, I had no luck but instead seeeing the ratio reset to normal making it impossible to even navigate the menu.

Here is a screen of the highest res I can currently pick.

Now I bought the steam version and when I edited the DATA line in hardware restrictions.XML the game won't even start throwing me a error 80 code. Reinstalled and set in to 1 screen, but it looks so funky playing that on a full driving setup. I really need some help if possible at all. Any suggestion any kind of tip will help at this point.

Complete spec, including OS? If you changed to a more current OS when going to the new system, you might only need to play in XP compat mode. My guess is it's the problem mentioned below though.

"An important thing to note is that the game does not support resolutions above 1440x900 and 1280x1024 if a graphic card with less than 512mb is detected. The game might incorrectly detect the amount of vram when using newer graphics cards, which will lock you out of using higher resolutions. Follow these steps to solve this problem:

1) Look for your hardware_settings_restrictions.xml file in your 'system' folder (default for steam version: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\grid\system\), and make a backup.

2) Open the file with Notepad. Scroll...

res mem="270" maxWidth="1280"
/data

The restriction is now gone and you can play the game at your native resolution."

I didn't care for their somewhat stuffy forum chat, and don't participate there anymore, but WSGF is still one of the best sources for sorting out res, AR, and FOV issues with many games via their master games list. If you're running triplehead, I suggest you keep a link to their site in your favorites.
