Rad. 9100 posts 9009 on 3D mk.

This totally surprised me.
I had mentioned earlier in a post that I was displeased with the FX 5200 score of 6672. I ran a Rad. 7200 at 4460. I said I needed to double my scores to feel the kick....?
Searching info on the 9100, I heard it was an 8500 re-badged. Liking this (I owned 8500 last year in my old Cele 1.2 deal which was sold in Feb>)I went online and found one local. Picked it up this morning. Loaded it, updated the drivers, went right to 3D 2001. No Tweaks yet. I just wanted to see some scores. My mouth dropped and I believed it when I saw Dragothic Low running at 197 fps. when nature pulled off 67 fps, I laughed hysterically.
Comp USA sells this card for 59.00.
Go ahead and spend all your dough if you must, but my search is over.
Now, off to Rad tweaks and up the ante to 275/550. Old Stock Rad 85.

9K is good, rage 3D should get you up around 11K, and ya I think the 9100 is way undervalued.

I was going to get the ASUS GF4 Ti 4200TD for $149, but honestly, can't find one bundled with a nice pak loaded for much less money.
The Ti 4200 would have been the next one if an 8500/9100 was unavailable.
(but I saved enough to get the ram I need 512Mb Kingston.
Now if THAT could be under $95 again, local, that'd be great.)
Anyone whoever posted scores with any newer NV card always blew away the 8500, I' very aware o'that. But post 9/11, this was the deal until Feb. '02
(It's still strange to read the MAX PC issue done right after the disaster that gave the 8500 'a perfect 10' and then retracted it shortly after that.)
