Since updating drivers to the 20.11.2 version (I was sitting on the 2019 drivers up until now) I can't change resolution in games from 4k to anything else. That part of UI is either greyed out, or there is only 1 option there: 4k.
That being said, I can't change my desktop resolution either (choice is greyed out).

Any ideas?

Think does adrenalin have new uninstaller? Maybe I would be the same and recommend the DDU. After so many headaches it is the automatic for when I do update big reason I still on older drivers.
I agree with you, automatic updates are bogus. I just kept my old driver for as long as it's good.

All uninstallers work to some degree but Windows Programs and Features is an absolute failure. I remember my first encounters years ago, I ended up digging the fragments of the old video drivers out of Hkey local machine which was a pain in the wahzoo finding all the paths.

Clearly wasn't a clean uninstall/install. The problem appears to be two drivers, new driver on top of the old driver or the old one being partially uninstalled. I...
Hows 4k gaming on 5700? FPS ok?

Still on 20.9.1 drivers at 1440p. Pleased pc running very well. Look at driver notes and they mention nothing that helps my games or pc so not touch the update buttons.

if anyone encounters this problem - the problem appears to be from the corrupted drivers install, the reinstallation with factory reset (or whatever its called) fixes it.

Hello i am having the same problem with the two latest driver updates 20.11 and 20.12. While i normally run on 2560x1440 after driver install it returns after restart with a 1600x1200 i think.

Thankfully i always keep a back up of drivers and i reinstalled the 20.10 which they solved my problem.

Does your solution actually works?

Do you mean the factory reset that i have marked in the picture?

I just reset to factory then install drivers?

Thanks in advance.

The cure I've found (for myself) is to
(1) Make sure the old driver is installed or reinstalled so a driver uninstaller can clearly find all the paths and report everywhere it's installed.
(2) Use DDU (AMD cleanup utility or Revo uninstaller) and remove the old driver.
(3) Install the new driver.
Hope this helps.
