[SOLVED] Radeon 5700 xt vr benchmarks

So I’m wanting to get into vr, I was suggested the rtx 2060 super or rtx 2070 super, because AMD has not been doing well in vr. The Radeon 5700 xt has been released recently, I would love to get the card if it was good in be, I know it does very well in actual gaming. It’s been out for a little bit and I was wondering if anyone had any benchmarks on it. I looked online and I could only find 1 website with them, but I don’t know if it’s accurate. It looks like it surpasses the rtx 2060 super and hovers just below the rtx 2070 super. Is this true and should I get the card over the rtx 2070 super for gaming and vr?

They are horrid. Only marginally better than the 590. Those numbers you read are for gaming performance only. Not VR.

The VR market is way to small for AMD to care about I think. (This from a 5700XT owner)

Look at Future Marks VRMark test numbers.

I did a quick search for VR and 5700 XT narrowing my search to the past month, and came up with this one from Sept 10:

Seems to generally fall between the 2060 Super, and 2070 Super. Variations from game to game as to whether it's Nvidia or AMD who drops more frames, which is faster, etc.

Well then i stand corrected. My numbers were based on early vr testing with the 5700xt. So maybe they improved the drivers. Some of those numbers though are less than impressive. 90Hz should be the minimum for long term play.

I unfortunately can't really say much with authority, as I don't do VR at all - just going by what I read, and I tried to look for something recent because I figured driver updates, and so on, would be part of the issue.

To me it seemed like that review was across the board - some games seemed happier on AMD, some on Nvidia.

If I were to guess, I'd say go with the 5700 XT
