Hi...

I have a XFX HD 5770 850M 1GB DDR5 DP HDMI DUAL DVI PCI-E.

I flashed a bad BIOS on it... without the backup of the old one.

Now it wont boot...

What I tried:

I flashed all the BIOS I could find in the Techpowerup database.

-----------------------------

I googled for the model HD-577A-ZNFC VE.5 without success. It seems that the "VE.5" does not exist... but is writen on my gfx card here in front of me!

-----------------------------

What do I do?

Thanks for reading and sorry about the bad english.

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/index.php?page=1&architecture=ATI&manufacturer=XFX&model=HD+5770&interface=&memSize=0

^now look at the clock rates on the right hand side which one of those were the same as your cards. Use that one

I already flashed ALL the BIOS from XFX. There are many missing BIOS on the Techpowerup database. I need the VE.5 specific BIOS.

Yeah...

The other bad thing is that XFX refuses to send me the original BIOS.

WHY?!

Here is a link to a copy of my 5770 BIOS for a Sapphire 5770 with the egg shape cooler if you want to try it. (It is saved in a 7-zip file so will need to be unpacked for use.)

Did not work...

The thing is...

If I flash any BIOS file different of the actual one:

I cant even boot using my first videocard.

...

So... still needing the VE.5 BIOS.

Thanks for the effort 'till now.

What BIOS does the first card have ?? Is it the same as the second card ? If so use GPUz to save the Bios (press the icon on the right side of the BIOS version line in GPUz and select save to file) and use it to flash the second card

Op your doing something wrong really. 99.9 percent had successes with all the possible solutions given here.

Please... try to find what I'm doing wrong.

I flashed all the XFX bioses I could find at Techpowerup and some Asus(2), HIS(1), Powercolor(2). How I did it?

atiflash -f -p 1 biosname.bin

the flashing goes ok, tell's me to reset my system. I reset... And the windows freezes at the loading screen (that with que windows symbol "blinking").

When it freezes I reboot and enter in Windows Safe Mode, uninstall drivers, reboot, re-install drivers... the moment windows finishes to install the drivers... BANG... a BSOD or the system freezes or the screen goes black.

(I flashed at PCI-EX 1 'cause it's where my "defective" card is loaded).

WHAT I'M DOING WRONG?

Keep helping, It shows that there are a few good people in the world.

Not the same card...

I have an HD-577A-ZNDC (XFX XXX Edition 5770). And already tried flashing the 1 VideoCard BIOS on the Second...
