Question Radeon 6400/6500 and AV1 decoding

Apparently the Radeon 6400/6500 have their AV1 decoder chopped off. If the CPU's integrated graphics (eg Intel Alder Lake or AMD Zen4) has an AV1 decoder and you are running a 6400 or 6500 will the iGPU's decoder automatically be used for AV1 decoding or will it default to using a software decoder. Asking for both Windows 10/11 and Linux.

it also has h264/h265 encoders turned off, its pretty much in product specs since january

So is software smart enough to switch to the hardware decoders and encoders on the iGPU?

if you have setup igpu as low power gpu device for that app, then it will use igpu for video decoding
