I am on a tight budget, and looking forward to buy one of those 2 cards for entry level gaming, since both are better than GT 640 interms of performance.

Should I get GDDR5 6750? which is usually more than $80 but I found a it only for $68 on geeks.

or.. should I get 6670 GDDR3? which is $65.
or... Get the GDDR5 6670 which is $80?

Is there a significance increase in GDDR3, 5 6670? Worth the extra $20?
or.. should I just get GDDR5 6750 instead?

Does 6750 really perform better than 6670?

Yea, there's like about 5 fps difference in games I"ve noticed, but what about power consumption?

I am thinking of buying this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883103447

Or Dell for $400 which has DDR 3 ram and i3 3rd gen.

Acer has 220W, while Dell has 300, but a person said 6670 worked on this Acer with 220w.
I am not sure if I should buy another power supply for the 6750 thou.

Could you clarify on that 6 pin part?
I just checked out 5750, and it's around the same price as 6750, basically they are the same rebranded cards with a slight upgrade in hdmi, from what I hear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJMz0h1g_Bs - Runs BF3 on ultra, at 1080p. (heck my monitor's max is 1366x768)
Ok that convinced me enough to buy 6750 😉 and it's only $ 68 at geeks.com

Only concern now is compatibility, and that PCI express slot. I am not sure if it would work on Dell Vostro ($400 i3 3rd gen), and Acer ($360 Athlon II X4)...

Also looking at cpu benchmarks, there's absolutely almost no significant difference between an i3, i7. Very slight few fps, so i3 is enough for me, but I heard Athlon II x4 might be better since it's quad core.

I am not really looking to build it myself, it would consume time and isn't too guaranteed. Have never done it before myself, so looking and finding cheap pc with good cpu and ram for the price is the way for me atm.

The 6 pin connector is the one to power up the graphic card, the hd 7750 don´t need one so any low power PSu (good brand) will suffice.

Hd 6750+BF3+ultra+1080p??? :non: I don´t think so maybe highish at lower resolutions or with not so good FPs.
No problems about the slot, any motheboard since 2005 is sure to have a pci-e x16 slot.

I assure you that the best way is to build up your own Desktop, money-perfomance wise over any atm. I would go for the i3 over the athlon 2 specially for gaming.

i agree building a pc is the way to go honestly prebuilts to me is meh and they hand out cheap psus also they upgrade paths isnt really great and thats how they get you into buying one every few years. When you build your own you can upgrade when you want to and you know whats exactly in your computer parts and all and if something is wrong you can fix it.

I am getting 6750, so does it require the 6 pin connector?

I've also seen people getting min 23, avg 27 max 40 fps on bf3 ultra, 1600x900 with 6670, there are bunch of gameplay videos on youtube.

I've seen about $70 - 100 money save if I built it myself, but again I am fine with just buying a computer that could last few years and do some decent gaming on modern games.

Why limit your self..Building is cheaper but thats on you

Yes, it will need a 6 pin connector.

Here you will see that the hd 6750 only get 20 fps average in bf 3 on ultra, 4x AA and at 1200p.

If you have 99$ to spend try to look over a hd 7750/hd 6770 minimun to play decently, that´s from experience, I had a hd 5670 gddr5 that is like a hd 6670, playing a 1280x1024, that wasn´t a very nice videogaming experience so I got myself a hd 6850 and now i´m playing skirym at high with mods 1080p. 😉
and if I have to choose I will upgrade right now.

sick thats better then the gtx 460 fpb version i had

I had a Gigabyte 460 1gb 256bit that I had moded and it did 930mhz solid with stock bios. All you have to do is keep the temps down on the core and mod for better cooling for the power vrm.
