Hi everyone,
I'm planning to buy a full HD TV and of course I plan it to connect it to my PC. The thing is I have an old Samsung monitor with the maximum resolution of 1280x1024 (ratio 5:4). Graphic card is Radeon 7750 1GB. My dilemma is this: will there be a problem if my monitor resolution is 1280x1024 and my TV resolution 1920x1080 (ratio 16:9). Is there a way to keep my monitor and keep it's native resolution and have my HD TV as display 2 with full HD resolution? Or will I have a big part of my HD TV screen black and unused because my resolutions won't match? Please help, because I have no way to test this without buying the TV first.
And sorry if it's a noob question too, I was trying to find a similar thread online but it seems that not many people have monitors of this ratio and size anymore.
Thanks in advance,
Tom
