hey guys,
iam about to buy a graphic card and my options are saphire hd 7850 1gb gddr5 and gigabyte gtx 660non ti oc 2gb gddr5.
but my monitor resulation is 1440x900 is both card a little overkill?.my rest of specs are:

PROCESSOR- INTEL CORE I5 2500K

MOTHERBOARD - INTEL DH67BL

PSU- COOLER MASTER THUNDER 500 WATT

RAM- 4GB

GPU-?

If both are the exact same price (it shouldnt, almost $100) then get the 660. No reason to get the weaker card.
However, if there is a $100 difference between them, get the 7850 and use the savings for the rest of the rig. For instance, you want a 3570k, not 2500k. And that H67 board wont allow you to overclock. And the PSU is fairly low quality.

hey bro i have bought this pc 4 months ago and yes i make a big mistake by buying h67 chipstet for overclocking processor . and 7850hd is $50 cheaper than 660 non ti
is more 50$ worth it?

I would say yes, the 660 is roughly equal to the HD7870, which is $50 more than a 7850 1GB.
Though as you pointed out, your running at a low resolution, so the extra performance might not even matter.
...
Yea, I would go with the 7850 if you dont intend to upgrade the monitor over the cards usable life.

hey, i think the 2500k is a better processor than the 3570k.

you really could use a better motherboard though.

as stated, same price.. 660. if the 7850 is cheaper, then 7850

edit: for a 30 dollar difference i would probably get the 660 over the 7850

and off the top of my head, i dont trust the psu

bro it will take me around another 2 months to get a good amount of money,so iam thinking that I shall buy a graphic card and next month I will buy a good psu and mobo together, but is my psu enough to handle gtx 660 non ti?

Your PSU will be fine with either card, they are both incredibly efficient.

Crysis 3 will run beautifully at that res - I just finished playing some of the Beta on Very High (the highest) settings + SMAA Medium and averaged 40fps (check my sig below). You should be getting right about 60 with a GTX 660 - maybe 50-55 with an HD 7850.

Also, grab another 4GB RAM - get it while it's cheap.

If you are willing to oc get the 7850. It overclocks like a monster and will overtake a GTX 660. Nvidia voltage lock their cards. How crap.

Also a 7870 is faster than a 660 fanboys.

It shouldn't, but when pairing RAM of different speeds, it always runs at the slowest speed.

If that psu can deliver close to it's rated power it is OK.
Coolermaster is known to lie & exxaggerate their specs
tho. You will prob be ok as neither of these cards actually require
a 500w unit.
