I currently am wondering if anyone can explain in some detail or get me in the right direction for getting a cross fire going for my 7950 radeon. Can it be any of the radeon series, as long as it is in the 7900s? If so, would it be best to join it with the one I have or possibly another? Im wanting to max out my computer in the next few months and I am sure the pricing will go down to add another one of these bad boys in my computer. The other problem I am facing is the amount of power I have, I have a 950watt supply, will that be enough?

950 watts should be plenty. Radeon cards are much more forgiving when going into Crossfire than cards going into SLI. What card do you already have? What card are you looking to get?

To be clear Crossfire can work with different models of cards, so its usually not a worry. But, the same cards will make things play nicer.

This is correct, as long as it's in the 7900 series, it's OK to crossfire. there is an odd exception and that is the 7870 LE, which is a special case based on a crippled 7950 chip, so it's ok to crossfire with a 7950 as well. if you have a pair of 7950s, it's perfectly fine to crossfire them to get more performance.

as for your PSU, your wattage is fine, but what is the current output on the 12V rail? (this should be available on your PSU's box or as a sticker on the PSU) you want 35A minimum. also, please let us know the manufacturer/brand that made your PSU, some brands are significantly better and more reliable than others
