Radeon 7950 3GB

Hi,

is Radeon 7950 supposed to work on matherboards supporting PCIe 2.0 as it's made for PCIe 3.0? Mine doesn't work. The fans spin,but it wouldn't turn the monitor on.

PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0.

Are you sure your power supply is capable of running the 7950?

My original PSU was Cooler MAster 500W which should be just enough according to many web sources. But I couldn't sort of believe so before I bought the Radeon I upgraded to Corsair RM750. So that's not the problem. I did little research and found out that this GPU should be working on PCIe 2.0 but maybe little slower than on PCIe 3.0. Now I have no idea what could be the problem as my old GPU ( Zotac GTX 550 Ti) is perfectly working when I install it back to motherboard.
