Radeon 7970 vs gtx 680 ! Read before vote !

We all know that GTX 680 is about 7-10% faster then Radeon 7970 , but on 2500x1600 it's about draw atm there is like 50-70$ difference between 7970 oc edition (1000 mhz )
and gtx 680 stock ... between gtx 680 oc is like 90-100$ .... bot have some cool features ...

nvidia has TXAA , FXAA , Adaptive v sync and more ...
AMD has MLAA 2.0 , adaptive SSAA , Zero core and more ...

witch card is the best bag for buck ? No fanboy answers please .. be objective

are you really sure that OC without touching voltages will cause zero damage to GPU ? i just haven't found that information anywhere )) wiki and google failed for me ) i just want to know serios .... if overlocking is 100% safe and cause zero damage to gpu ... answer is simple .. winner is 7970 ....

Well because of the 70 dollar price drop of the 7970 its going to be the better price to performance ratio.

and if card burned while overclocking but without touching voltages they can't void warranty ? problem is as i said .... i will get card in my country from amazon .... frrom usa it will be shipped to georgia county ... so sending them back that card will cost for me 80$ ))

Hello,

IMO the best bang for your buck depends on what your doing. The 7970 has better compute abilities (bitcoin mining?). The 680 has better raw gaming power.

Both are very good cards though, can't go wrong with either.

Interesting that the 7970 has all the votes. Here is Australia, a stock 7970 you are looking at $560 as the cheapest and a stock 680 around $600, that's a pretty tough call.

how nvidia can call themselves clear winner if then can be beated eve with overclocked 7950 ? it's sound a bit fun i think i had 4 nvidia and 1 radeon card .... so u can't call me amd fanboy for sure ))

it seems like it's always been that way, but this time it makes more sense. simply becuase the amd cards were released 3 or 4 months before the first kepler.

i saw many youtube videos and 680 has same fps dips as 7970 allmust in every game maybe drivers will fix it .... gtx 680 wins at max and avg fps for sure ... but minimum fps ? he even loses in some games .... yaya bechmarks on sites said that gtx 680 has better minimum fps to .... but videos said different ...

Want to bet?Ill take that challenge.There was a reason i sold my 7970 and kept the 7950.Nvidia loses on locked volts alone.You can only overclock i belive as far as stock volts will take you could be wrong but i believe this is the case.The only mistake AMD made was clocking there stock cards way to low..

true 1000 is fine and 1070 mis version to .. but 925 is way to low ..... there is now only 60$ differnece 7970 vs 7950 so idk .. at that prices i will take 7970 anyway i think 7950 is good card for overlockers ^^
