Radeon 8500 DVD playback Quality!?

Hi,
I want to order a Radeon 8500,but in the Rage3d Forum I read that there are many problems with the DVD playback.Now I want to ask if it´s tru,because I need a good DVD playback?!

the DVD playback issue is not with the ATI hardware, but with their media center program. if you use a program like PowerDVD 4.0, you shouldn't have any problems at all.
of course, there should be an update rather shortly to hopefully correct these problems.
some are also hardware issues, mainly dealing with problem chipsets like VIA.

if you have quality parts, you will get quality results.

the AIW has very good video, DVD quality

but i learn somewhere that for the moment the driver of the 8500DV is not mature

i think that is the problem

with an driver upgrade, this will correct most bugs
and increase quality

i remember, see the tomshardware article about 8500 & 8500DV
