Hey guys, I can't figure out which one is better, radeon 9500 64mb is running dx 9, ti4200 is running dx 8.1, the 3dmark2001se, 9500 64mb is leading but in many games, ti4200 is just neck to neck with 9500. In some games, ti4200 run better and some games 9500 run better. Also, ti4200 has the tsop memmory while 9500 is having the bga memmory, people said ti4200 is generally faster than 9500 but, 9500 has a chance to beat the shiit out of the ti 4200------ If you are lucky enough to sofmod it to a 9500pro 64mb withous artifact...... Which one should I get?
amd 2700+, asus A7n8x. Any help will be appreciated

I got a GeForce 4 Ti 4200, and it runs great. But for more intense games like Half Life 2 and Doom 3, they use Direct X 9, so the Radeon 9500 would be better. Right now the Radeon 9600 series offers good performance and a good price. I would reccomend the 9600 series.

I think R9500 is the better choice.Although TI4200 run some game better than R9500,but R9500 can offer high speed with AF and FSAA.Your system can give R9500 enough power and you will feel R9500 is a so good graphic card.R9600 slowly than 9500,especialy some R9500 that have 128MB memmory. But R9600PRO is also a choise.
