Radeon 9700 non-pro clock speed

I was looking at the new thg vga guide and it says my memory speed should be 500. I looking in my omega clock speed in the display properties and it says it the core is 276 and the memory is 270. What is the deal? I bought the card from here http://www.ocsystem.com/atira9712ddr.html

Allright, I was just looking at that and I got really mad because 270 seemed real low when it was supposed to be in the 500's. Thanks.
