Radeon drivers not installing?

So on my system, I installed a Radeon 8350G card(pretty much a variant of the 5450). I then downloaded drivers for Windows XP 64 Professional and attempted to install them.

The installer doesn't detect the 8350g and doesn't install the drivers. Any reason why it would be doing this? Windows Vista/7 would not give me this problem.

Are all of the power connectors plugged in? Also you can just manually choose the drivers you need on amds website. AMD has missed the driver I've needed before so it could just need to be manually installed

This card works off the PCIE bus, no power connector needed

and I manually chose 8300G Series PCIE, as well as Radeon 5450 drivers and both gave me no option to install the display driver

Is the fan on the gpu spinning? If not pull the gpu and clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol let it dry and put it back in. If that doesnt work try the card in a different pc
