Radeon HD 4890 Problems

I'm building a new system and on bootup things work well for a while, but then the display kicks off, and a red light on the video card stays on. I've heard that these are warning lights and each one means something different, but I'm at a loss. I can't find much information on what is wrong. I've checked connections from the psu and to the motherboard.

Can anyone help me get started on trying to track down the problem?
