"GeForce 660 GTX w/1GB / AMD 7700 series w/1GB equivalent or better "

I only have a DDR3 graphics card though, not a DDR5. {I believe I can't just put in a DDR5}

So...... is there a great graphics card out there with DDR3 that will last me for a few years?

Thanks for any input.

Solution
You don't need DDR3, not sure what idiot put that myth out on the web.

For $400, get a GTX1070 (~$350), it's the best you can get, and will play any game out there today in max settings 1080p and hit 60fps
Oh. Well thank you. I am not a computer person. Perhaps in the two hours of reading up on these things, I made an error{s}. Thank you for your answer.

Should I delete my question because of it's inanity?

Why delete, plenty of other people made the same mistake (usually from india, but from all over the world too) and they need to know that the ddr3 myth is a myth.

For $400, 1060/1070 are your best bet, one is USD250 the other USD1070. If you are using the default power supply though, I highly recommend upgrading to an EVGA G2 550 or Corsair RM550x (and likely getting the 1060 because 1070+psu is out of your price range)

Thanks again for the reply. How do I know if the graphics card will plug right into the tower and connect to my {soon to be new} power supply? Should I take my PC to a computer store and have them tell me if the GTX1070 is compatible?

Daniel

The card is compatible with your motherboard, you might need a bios update but it is 100% compatible. The PSU also works with that card and the motherboard without issue

Thank you once again. I have ordered an ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 and the EVGA G2 550 power supply though a local computer company. They will also install the components.

You have been a great help.

Thanks.
