Radeon HD 5770 Upgrade

Looking at a new graphics card to upgrade to from my old HD 5770.
Have up to £150 (Approx $235) to spend.
Looking to use under Windows 10 so maybe a new R9 300 series or a GTX 900 series card?

Not too bothered about really hi-res gaming or full AA features etc but a good frame rate for the likes of Battlefield 4.

Been ATI for a few cards but not too bothered if an Nvidia is a good choice.

Current System:
Windows 8.1
Asus B85 Gamer Pro Motherboard
i5-4750
250GB Samsung EVO SSD drive
8GB Ram
650 Watt power supply

Have seen this at Ebuyer, is it worth it as it's £25 at least cheaper than an R9 380?

Well, seing as how most of the games are optimized for nvidia now you might as well make the switch towards a GTX.

In the UK that's a bit over my price range.

Same price range as the Radeon R9 380's too!

I can get an MSI R7 370 2GB for £122 ($190) or the same card with 4GB for £140 ($218)
Would that be a decent compromise between price and performance?

Do you think prices will come down a bit in a couple of months once Windows 10 is out and they want to sell more graphics cards?
Seems the GXT 960 is quite costly for it's specs?

P.S. Don't get me started on the UK getting ripped off on prices vs the US!! ;-)

It all depends on how well Windows 10 actually turns out, it is a possibility of course.
Don't worry about getting ripped off though, if makes you feel better I live in Argentina. With all the taxes they charge to anything that comes from outside (specially computer-stuff) you pay at least double (not to mention you don't get a lot of choices...).

I'm maybe leaning towards a Radeon R9 380, only £5 more than my upper price limit but hoping to use the card for three years so maybe worth paying a bit more now.

Thing is, will a 2GB be good enough to future proof for the next three+ years??

You won't be playing in ultra, that's a certainty but you'll get 1080p.

Made a decision, have ordered the MSI R9 380 Gaming 2G. Got it for £155, should be here in a few days.
It was that or the Sapphire for the same price but the MSI has better cooling I think.

Way I see it, by the time I want to play in Ultra HD, the card probably won't be powerful enough so spending the extra £25-30 on an extra 2GB memory is a moot point.

I'll upgrade again in three years time.
