Radeon HD 6570 vs. Nvidia GeForce GT 720

Did I just buy a weaker graphics card? Both are low-profile passive and used in my HTPC with lite gaming.

I have a:
HIS amd radeon hd 6570 1GB DDR3

I just bought a:
ASUS GeForce GT 720 2GB DDR3

My system is a W7 i5-2500 3.3 with 10GB ram & SSD

I've been running the Radeon 6570 fine for a few years. Recently loaded up Dolphin Emulator for Wii games and I'm unable to play the games in 1920x1080. It stutters a bit and is slow.

I just went and bought the Nvidia GeForce GT 720 thinking the 2GB vs 1GB would help, but is this a downgrade or upgrade?

They are both about the same ability, you just switched from AMD to Nvidia is all.

Grandmaster user Clutchc has this low profile gtx750Ti running in his SSF 790 with a 240w PSU.

Use at your own risk, as always. Its not officially supported.

Thank you. After further research I landed on the GTX 750 Ti myself. I think this will work for my needs.

It really is a great card for the price IMO.
