Hello,

I was reading an article on Tom's Hardware, and I found it interesting as to how they ran a "Sapphire 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1 GB" off of only a Antec 380W PSU .... Can this be done by anyone as well? I searched on the Sapphire website and the GPU calls for a minimum 500W PSU.

Sapphire: http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?leg=&psn=0001&pid=497&lid=1#

I am looking to upgrade my own computer (similar specs to that in the article). I am running a pretty basic low power PC, using a Corsair CX430W V2 80PLUS PSU, 95W TDP CPU, 2 sticks of DDR3 RAM, 1HDD, 1ODD, etc. I am not even overclocking any of my hardware so no over-volting.

Do you think I could run a 6850 stable in my PC as well?

Thanks,

Oh wow.

I just calculated with "http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine" as well. Seems like it is very possible. I will switch to a Green SATA HDD drive to save power and leave as much headroom as possible. T~T

Thanks again.
