A GTX750ti is almost the equal of the hd6850. The 750ti has 1ghz while the hd6850 only has 775hz. The 750ti has 2gb vram while the hd6850 has 1gb. So, the 750ti is much more powerful than the hd6850

The closest competitor from nVidia would be the 750 (no ti) which is about as powerful as the Radeon 6870. From the charts, there is no direct competitor to the 6850 from nVidia's current generation of cards.

The 750ti performs similar to a 6970, to give you an idea of where its performance is. This is because it's a newer and more efficient process (28nm) and architecture (Maxwell) and not so much the Mhz/Ghz. The amount of memory comes into play depending on the game, resolution and graphics options chosen.
