That will work just as fine. And for the graphics card, go with the one that plays your game the best.

I see... hmm. Also, the game I look forward to playing is Guild Wars 2. That is why I'm getting these upgrades.

I never played it myself but i think i read somewhere that it is pretty CPU dependent, So even if all you did was upgrade your graphics card you still wouldn't see the performance results you are wanting.

Your motherboard is for a pre built and they lock them down to not accept many CPU, and that would be your bottleneck and to replace that you will need a new motherboard.

You would also have to check the sticker on your memory and see if its ddr3 if its ddr2 which i believe it is you will need to upgrade that also.

My parts are compatible also and would give very similar performance. His budget is $300 and your $84 over and since when did the 2100 give noticeable performance gain over the g860 in games? Sure in other apps it would but he probably doesnt do any photo/ video editing. Mine is cheaper and you can upgrade to an i5 later down the road. Yours is better but mine is within budget and give similar performance

nope, i3 kills amd dude, even the higher end fx series is slower than a intel i3.

u have to overclock the fx series to even see a remote performance increase to be close to the i3s stock performance.
