Hey TH community,
I am a religious and seasoned overclocker (as well as a person majoring in IT) and normally I don't feel the need to ask for help with my rig. But this time I'm a bit confused as to what my PC is doing as of lately and wanted to know what other's might think is going on with my computer, or if anyone has had a similar problem in the past.
So the past month I have been playing "Kerbal Space Program" pretty religiously. I love the game. Anyway, in the past couple weeks I have been having some unexpected crashes in the game, where my computer completely restarts to a black screen and sometimes hangs not bringing up my basic BIOS screen or anything.

Now I have a completely overclocked rig, water loop on the motherboard and CPU (except the graphics card is on it's stock fan). The graphics card by the way is the MSI Twin Frozr III HD 7950. I've done some serious diagnosing including stress testing in Prime95. As far as my CPU goes, I'm currently running at 4.7Ghz stable with my RAM downclocked to 1600Mhz. I don't think either of these are the problem.
The problem I think is the graphics card. When I run either FurMark or 3D Mark, my PC crashes everytime. Both programs are specifically hardcore GPU stress test after all. Now my graphics card, previously I had it COMPLETELY overclocked to the max. I mean, maximum core and memory speed with some upted voltage. And for the past year, it hasn't had any problems. I have a great case with excellent ventilation so overheating wasn't a problem in the past. But now all of a sudden, I can hardly play an indie game. Eventually I was forced to run everything at stock settings for now until I can figure out what's wrong. But I'm thinking it's the heat. This card, in furmark, it was running at 98C. And running just in a basic menu screen on kerbal it was running at 88C.

So this is the thing that baffles me. Why would this card all of a sudden start not working stable, and why is it getting so hot? I mean, I stress tested it a long time ago and it was absolutely stable on overclock. I've updated drivers, MSI afterburner, nothing. Maybe I have to change the thermal paste and reseed the card, any ideas here? Maybe the cards going bad from continuing use? I did buy it used on ebay.... I just don't know why it's having problems. I have a brand new PSU I bought last year, Corsair HX750 gold rated PSU. I doubt it's a power thing plus everything else is running fine. It seems to be the graphics card having problems.
