Radeon HyperZ/ NO HyperZ

does anybody here have experience between the two? i just wanted to know how much difference in performance lies between the two. also, would a geforce ddr be any better or worse?

HyperZ usually does ~20-30% extra.

GeForce 2 DDR will be better than a Radeon with or without Hyper Z, except in some instances in 32 bit color, unless you have a Geforce 2 Ultra card, which will be faster than the Radeon. If you want really good performance, get the Radeon with Hyper Z, and stay away from the one without it. But, I read that the ones without Hyper Z still physically have it in the chip, its just disabled (probably because it wasn't working right, as in a poor quality chip). But, I read that some people have forced the Hyper Z to be enabled in such chips, but there is not guarantee that it will work.

Hyper z is not turned on on the LE cards. It can be enabled in the registry settings though. I don;t have the settings, I am actually trying to get them myself. I have 3 radeon cards coming this week!

Go to www.tweakfiles.com there is a Radeon Tweaking program that will enable Hyper Z on LE cards.
