Radeon Monitor Craziness, HELP

Ok, I just got a Radeon 64mb ddr VIVO and I love it. I've been asking about what to get lately and decided on this because I also do some 2d stuff and I need the video in. The Radeon runs games SO much better than my archaic crap Riva 128ZX (ugh). But anyway, I got it installed and all my programs run fine, but I have a black bar on the left and bottom of my screen. It is like my desktop got scrunched up to the upper right (I can still see most everything, I just can't even move on the bars). I have tried different a few different drivers and the bars still remain.

If I go into the setup on the monitor I can get the desktop close to normal, but games still have the bar. Something like this happened before with my ZX, but some different drivers helped that. I don't think there are interfering old drivers, but let me know if I can double check this somehow. I also have my IRQ's if those are needed.

So, do you have any advice? My apologies if this has been covered before or it is a stupid nooby thing. Even a link to something about this would help, thanks a bunch. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your input. Specs Below.

Is there a driver available for your monitor that you can use? Can you tell us who makes the monitor? (ie: Viewsonic, Sony, etc.)

Did you try changing the screen settings, also if this doesn't help, try using a different monitor to see if you can see the lines. If you don't, then you can be sure that it is your monitor.

If it works for you then don't fix it.

Hi all,
I had the same Graphics board with the same problem. Go into Add/remove programs and delete the ATI mutimedia center. This fixed my problem, seemed to be some conflict somewhere.

P.S. Guys I have been telling alot of people I know who are just getting into building or trying to get new systems to work to come here and ask questions. They are tired of holding for hrs on tech support, lets show some patience.
