Hi there. I was considering buying a basic graphics card, just for indie titles like Minecraft, FEZ, AntiChamber, and some not-so demanding games like LOL ot Team Fortress 2, etc. So, went to see the retailer's price list and I saw that this two cards are in the same price, around 100 bucks (actually 1300 mexican pesos), with is a perfect price cuz I'm budget rigth now.

So, Wich is more powerfull or suitable for the kind of games I listed? I know this cards won't play heavy games, but if the mentioned games runs at near 60fps at 1080 i'm satisfied.

My build is:
CPU AMD FX 6300
4GB RAM DDR3@1333MHz
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2
PSU Corsair CX430
And monitor is an Asus VS228H (VGA, DVI-D & HDMI)

The 260X has about double the performance of the 250 for basically the same price if you can catch a sale. It's a pretty decent card. For a little more, you could pick up a GTX 750 which performs almost as well but uses a lot less power. If your budget really cannot handle the extra $20 then I would look for something used like a GTX 550 ti for around $50.

No, here the 260x is around 150 bucks.

It was my first option atht he time looking by graphics.

That's a bummer. I would never recommend overspending your budget. The 250 is a fine card and will certainly perform better than integrated graphics.

Indeed. My curent integrated graphic (a radeon 3000 series) can handle TF2 at 60fps with 1280x720 of res and everything at the minimum except textures wich I maxed out.

An because many tech is imported the price inflation here is sometimes absurd. You read "this part is around x bucks", and converted to pesos is like an ice prize, but looking the real retail price is sometimes 25% more.

The problem is that little more is about 50 buck or more due taxes and stuff.

And here getting old parts is difficult.
