I'm trying to install a graphics card (HIS Radeon R9 270X 2GB IceQ X² Video Card) in my desktop, but the card doesn't seem to be recognized. My motherboard is the ASUS M4A78LT-M LE AM3 AMD 780L Micro ATX AMD Motherboard and I'm also running Windows 8.1. Also running an AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.8GHz Quad-Core CPU.

I've tried to use the included CD to install and uninstall the drivers but it still doesn't work. Did I just buy a graphics card that is not supported by my motherboard or is there a fix that I haven't tried yet? Thanks in advance for any advice

Is all the necessary power cables to the card installed?
Any video card is supported by the motherboard unless it physically doesn't fit, and obviously it fits.
Other than that take out the card again and reseat it back in the slot and plug in the PCI power cable.
Then Try again.

If that doesn't work I'd be looking at a faulty GPU, take it back to the store for a replacement.

-good luck
