I have a MSI P67A-GD65 Mother Board (Newest Bios update) and a Corsair GS700 PSU (which i checked the output and it's far over the 500 watt recommendation). After upgrading my GPU from an Nvidia gtx 550 ti to a Radeon R9 285 my computer won't start in any way. The fans spin up but I get no post beeps or display. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you buy this card from? If it were me, I'd be tempted to return the card and buy a new one from a different store. Maybe a different card too. Does the GPU show any sign of life at all besides the fans spinning up? Which card is it? (sapphire Dual X, MSI Twin frozer, reference, etc)
Right. Ok, do all the lights on the GPU come on? Is your monitor detecting a signal (and just shows a blank screen) or not? Do you have a integrated GPU on your CPU? If so, try that, if you don't know, tell us your what your CPU is.

EDIT: Also see if your old GPU still works in your system if you still have it.

As far as I can tell there are no lights on the GPU, But it has two fans that do spin up. My monitor detects that a cable is plugged in but just shows a blank screen. My CPU is a Intel i5-2500k. Thank you so much for the responses!

EDIT: I've tried two other GPUs in my system and both work fine.

Before installing the R9 285 I flushed out all of my video drivers and the installed the appropriate drivers for the new card. I've tried both of my PCI-E Slots. All of my testing has been with only a single card installed.

I've tried slotting it into another computer, Same results. Fans, no post, no boot. This is also the second of this card i've tried. I went through all normal troubleshooting methods i could find and came to the same conclusion as you that the card must be bad. This is a replacement card from the same distributor.

I got it from Newegg, It's full name on the box is: Power COoler TurboDuo Radeon R9 285

As far as I can tell there are no other signs of life. And I'm going with your advice, Returning the card (They're making me pay for shipping) and i'll shop somewhere else and look for a different card. Thanks for all your help. I'm going mark your reply as the answer because it really is. Have a good one.
